The concession consists of a 900 Ha lease situated in the western portion of Colca Canyon, about 6 km NW from the town of Cabana Conde. The geothermal activity is manifested by a string of relatively hot (98 °C surface temperature) springs, located in the canyon. No past geothermal exploration had taken place in this locality.
